Lavender Honey Nice Cream

Our recent trip to a local lavender farm inspired me to make lavender honey nice cream with my haul from the gift shop. The lavender honey is made from the lavender and bee hives on the farm. It’s really delicious on its own but it deserves to be used more wisely. For some reason, my bananas brown faster than we can finish them. So, I’m always looking for ways to use them besides baking them into banana bread. Keep reading to find out how easy it is to make this lavender honey nice cream.

Ingredients

6 large over ripe bananas

1/4-1/2 cup almond milk

2 tbsp lavender honey

Purple food color

Directions

Peel and freeze the bananas in a plastic food storage bag. Remove from the freezer and place in a food processor.

Add the honey and 1/4 cup of milk.

Process the bananas until smooth. You may need to add more almond milk to help with blending the mixture together. The consistency should look like soft serve ice cream.

Scoop half the mixture into a bread pan. Add a few drops of purple food color into the remaining mixture and blend to mix in the color. Scoop the purple ice cream into the bread pan and swirl it in with a spatula.

Serve immediately or cover with plastic wrap and freeze for later use. The honey lavender gives this healthy ice cream the perfect hint of floral sweetness.

Please note: Do not give honey to children one year old or younger.
