Fruit Heart Platter

This fruit heart platter is an easy Valentine’s Day activity for the kids and a healthy snack! It has been a busy couple of months since our new bundle of joy arrived! Although my heart is full, the trickiest part of being a third time mom is finding time for everything. Including my hobby, creating and blogging. So this fruit heart platter was a perfect way for me to hit a few mom goals!

I picked out my best heart shaped cookie cutters in different sizes. Then I chose some fruit we enjoy like watermelon, cantaloupe, and bananas. These also have plenty of surface area to cut hearts out of.

Once the fruit was cut into slices, I gave the kids the cookie cutters to punch hearts into the fruit. There’s plenty of scrapes left from cutting out hearts, but I cut them into chunks for snacking during and after our activity. Why waste imperfectly good fruit?

Once all the hearts were cut out, I arranged them onto a pink plate for a beautiful fruit heart platter. Just in time for the in- laws to arrive for dinner and help with the newborn night shift! They are such a blessing and I’m so grateful for their help! Happy Valentine’s Day!
