Little Cutie Baby Shower

We can all agree that it’s been a crazy year, but one positive thought is the number of babies being born or still expected!  I love that I can count on all my fingers the ladies I know who are welcoming a baby this year.  We threw a Little Cutie baby shower for a sweet friend after one of her main cravings, clementines. It’s also the perfect theme for a summery shower!  I’m so excited to partner up with CV Linens to style a gorgeous dessert table for this event!  All products available on their website will be listed again at the end.

I like to get decor inspo from my expecting mamas to make it more memorable for them when I’m planning a shower.  Our mama chose a tasteful orange, light orange, white and gold color palette for the theme.  I tried to incorporate these colors into a double balloon garland to frame the back and front of the table.  I also used some greenery that resemble orange leaves to compliment our color palette.  This Little Cutie garland added the perfect finish to the table.

I used a white tablecloth and an extra long white chiffon tulle table skirt to wrap around the front and sides.  I love how it is beautifully pleated and the way the extra fabric gathers at the bottom.  I used several velcro table skirt clips around the edge of the table to easily attach the table skirt.

Starting on the left side of the table, I added a fresh floral arrangement for color and glam.  I also used  a set of 3 acrylic display stands to make the desserts look pretty and add varying height.  Wouldn’t you agree, anything that has its own stand just looks like a special offering?

On the center of the table, I used a 14”x14” clear acrylic cake box stand for displaying an orange cream filled cake.  I like how the box is clear so I can decorate the inside with leaves and oranges.   It also adds the perfect height for the cake to be visible in the back.

I thought these cake pops in the shape of mini oranges would be great with our theme.  They also looked really cute on the dessert table.  For variety, I chose fancy rolled cookies and served them on a low platter to keep then from blocking the cake.

To the right of the cake, I added another floral arrangement and a gold rimmed geometric lantern filled with oranges.  I also used a round 3 tier acrylic cupcake stand to display individual cups of a sweet tapioca dessert.  Since it was in the back, I sat it on top of a clear cake stand to make it taller.  Lastly, I finished that side off with a tray of creamy orange curd cupcakes.

It was a really hot summer day, but our dessert table came together beautifully!  Being a first time mom is a special moment in life and I’m glad my friend’s little cutie gave us a reason to party.  She was absolutely glowing and looked perfect beside the dessert table.  Huge thanks to everyone who helped me put this dessert table together, especially, CV Linens for their partnership in this event!
